Foundations & Sexuality Essentials for ISSSE

Personal Geometry® is a methodology that allows you to physically see, feel, and transform personal patterns that form your relationship with yourself, others, and your sexuality. Students can choose to enroll in either the Foundations Class (seven weeks) or combine Foundations with Sexuality Essentials (twelve weeks).

In twelve weeks, students will learn to: 

  • Use a body-based approach to get and give powerful, transformative insights within minutes

  • Bypass the defense strategies of the ego/mind to access the pivotal information the body knows

  • Understand the power of body maps and the meaning inherent in spatial relationships

  • Collaborate with your clients to diagram their problematic dynamics so you can see them more clearly and they can shift them more easily

  • Recognize how classic issues like dissociation, parentification, gender conflict, trauma, and addiction reveal themselves visually

    What to expect:

    FOUNDATIONS alone: 24.5 hours with Ali and 8 hours of online video content. All class recordings for review.
    FOUNDATIONS & SEXUALITY ESSENTIALS: 38.5 class hours with Ali and 8 hours of online video content;

  • Personal experiential learning - experience (and benefit from) Personal Geometry for yourself!

  • Facilitation practice and insights into clinical case studies – Ali’s and yours/your classmates’

  • Guidance on how to apply the technique to your unique practice

Upon completion of this class, students will be ready to weave this tool into their practice.

A note from Ali:
In my many years of working in various Los Angeles rehab clinics for sex, drug, and alcohol addiction, I developed Personal Geometry® to rise to the challenges of working with sexual trauma, compulsivity, dysfunctions and discontents within strict time constraints.

By working with body maps, I am able to help you go directly to the underlying issue/s. These underlying issues often elude therapists and clients – years of talk therapy may not identify or resolve them.

One of the many precious gifts my mother gave me was her open-door policy to discussing sex. I was always so curious about it, and my mom was unusually comfortable answering my precocious questions. No doubt, her unusual comfort – and her lack of judgment ­– discussing sex built the bedrock of my comfort and lack of judgment discussing sex. This necessarily translates to my clients and students gaining greater freedom and ease talking about, sharing and transforming their sexual challenges with me – and consequently, their partners.

I am blessed and honored to be invited by my clients into these previously secret, usually ashamed, often profoundly painful places in their lives. Letting in the light of sharing those shadows, and opening to receive non-judgemental, gentle guidance, insights, and when appropriate, fierce advocacy, can release and transform near nuclear amounts of compressed energy from clients’ psyches, bodies, and lives. All the more energy to express themselves in confidence, creativity, joy, intimacy, and pleasure!
